Editorial Standards

The standards every FlowWealth publication is held to before it appears on this website.

Last updated

Evidence before narrative

FlowWealth publications begin with data and reason toward a conclusion. Where the evidence does not support a clear conclusion, we say so rather than manufacturing one.

Sourcing

Every factual claim that rests on external data is attributed to its source. Every chart and table published by FlowWealth displays its source, the date of the figures, the unit and the frequency.

We do not publish market data without clear sourcing. Where a figure is recorded from a published document rather than a live feed, it is labelled with the date on which it was recorded.

Review before publication

Research publications are reviewed before release for analytical soundness, accuracy of data, appropriate acknowledgement of uncertainty, and compliance with our regulatory positioning.

Stating what would change our mind

Every substantive FlowWealth thesis identifies the evidence that would invalidate it. We regard a view that cannot be falsified as an opinion rather than research.

Corrections

Where we discover a material error in a published piece, we correct it and note the correction on the publication. Where a view changes because the evidence changed, we publish the revised view rather than quietly amending the original.

Language

FlowWealth writes for two audiences at once: institutional investors and Ghanaian professionals who want to understand markets. We use technical terms where they are necessary and explain them where they are not familiar. We do not use complexity to imply authority.

Independence from commercial interests

Editorial decisions are made independently of FlowWealth's advisory and commercial relationships. No client, advertiser or partner has the right to review or approve research prior to publication.
