Nii Kwartey Aryeetey
Head of Fixed Income Research
Covers Treasury bills, government bonds and the cedi yield curve. Previously a domestic debt trader in Accra.
Biography
Nii Kwartey Aryeetey heads FlowWealth's fixed income research, covering the Treasury bill market, government and corporate bonds, the shape of the cedi yield curve and the credit conditions facing Ghanaian issuers.
Nii spent nine years trading and structuring domestic debt at two Ghanaian banks, including through the 2022–23 domestic debt exchange programme. That period shapes how the fixed income research is framed: nominal yields in Ghana have repeatedly looked attractive at moments when the real return, after inflation and after any restructuring risk, was considerably less so. FlowWealth fixed income publications therefore lead with the real yield and the reinvestment question rather than the headline rate.
Nii writes FlowWealth's Fixed Income Outlook and maintains the firm's yield curve and Treasury auction datasets.
